Local wrestling is taking on a new flavor here in the Vancouver area.  The stayed and sedate Sapperton Pensioners Hall has become home to a new form of blood and guts.  They call it wrestling, ECCW, style and the promoters run it like a family affair all the way from pop corn sellers, sexy women selling 50/50 tickets and peresonal security for the lowly people in the front seats who pay a little extra for the possibility of having a bloody sweat laden gladiator land on their laps--and I mean they actually do land there, although they take great care  not to hurt any of the paying customers.  And you know the blood that landed on my jeans wasn't chicken blood or some foreign matter but real blood off the top of this guys shaven head.  Jean Kiniski, god bless his soul was never in this good shape in the old days of wrestling at the Arenex, these new guys give muscle and blood new meaning and excitement.  The lady beside me with her teenage daughter nearly put me in a head lock.  Copyright Gabor Gasztonyi.  Photograph taken with the Olympus OMD and the incredible 12mm lens, shot wide open at f2.
