The Gathering.

This is an image from the Douglas Lake native Rodeo taken several years ago.  I call it "The Gathering".   As the day ended and the sun became brighter in the summer sky, people gathered round to listen as the prize money was handed out.  There is a sense that the scene was more than about money, or prizes but about something spiritual that each person there was looking for as if their hands and faces were held out in front of them, each longing for a sign of something beyond themselves.
