Halloween again on East Hastings.  A young man in costume.  This year the rain didn't stop all night and the wind was blowing down the middle of the road just as it always has, blowing paper pizza plates and pop cans, sometimes as far as Columbia Street, which sits on the edge of death's corner.  And the alley behind it still full of excrement from the day before has seen more deaths than any other alley in the City.   Crack dealers from  Guatemala and Mexico  shouting to one another have no sympathy for a dying soul at the very moment of death.  It would have been easy to mistake this  alley for one in Mexicio City, but its really just Vancouver.  Harry from the Roosevelt hotel told me the other day there were really ghosts moving around in the room upstairs and to be careful not to speak too loudly.  Taken with the Olympus OMD and the 12-50 lens.
